The sculpture depicts a white cloth covering the body of the deceased. It is suspended on invisible nylon threads so that it appears to be levitating. However, there is no body inside, and its absence (or invisible presence?) is suggested by the shape of the cloth surrounding the body.

TThis terrible ghost is a symbolic image of innocent civilians killed in contemporary wars. The porcelain from which the sculpture is made emphasises the fragility of human life.
