Weak spine
Silicone (5 parts)
2017
Weak spine is an attempt to capture a plasticity of the body, , deprived of its "support structure". Making casts from human bodies, the author goes from a simple mimetic act, making the molds hollow and boneless. Due to the softness of silicone sculptures loses its static. Thus fragments of bodies, having the freedom and seeking support in the exhibition space (walls and corners) show gestures - mostly "weak", "awkward", but having a hyper expression. This plasticity of the movements and gestures, impossible and inconceivable for the human body, but performing by its copy, is a metaphor of "alienated body¨, experiencing shyness and timidity from itself.
