Hide and seek
Stones, wood, coal, marble, sound

Every day I read the news how my country, which has invaded Ukraine, is committing crimes, killing civilians and destroying entire cities. The value of human life has been reduced to zero, and the war for those who wage it becomes a deadly game of hide-and-seek.

One two three four five,
I'm coming to seek,
Who is not hiding
It's not my fault.

This nursery rhyme has become for me a metaphor for this war. The last two lines are an abdication of responsibility, a shifting of blame to those who are victims of crime. Russian propaganda covers the war by using videos of dead civilians and cities destroyed by the Russian army to blame Ukraine for these crimes. Literally calling white black and black white. Calling the murderers heroes and absolving them of responsibility.

"Who is not hiding - it's not my fault".
