This work is about the gradual dehumanisation during war, when the value of human life is reduced to zero and opponents stop perceiving each other as humans. By calling the enemies pigs / animals / subhumans, in a militarised society a psychological distance is created towards the other, which eliminates the feeling of guilt, because killing an animal is not a crime. It makes it easier to carry out military tasks. It makes it easier to kill and torture civilians, and justifies all violence and cruelty.
For this marble sculpture of a dead animal with elements of human anatomy, I made a chair, the references for which were medieval torture chairs.
